MailPanda + Klaviyo

Keep the platform you already run. MailPanda becomes the marketer operating it — planning, writing, and designing, then publishing drafts for you to set live.

If your store already runs on Klaviyo, MailPanda doesn't ask you to leave it. Klaviyo is a powerful sending platform; what most small brands are missing is the person who operates it — someone to plan the calendar, write the campaigns, and build the flows. That's the job MailPanda takes. It was built by Klaviyo marketing experts, to Klaviyo's marketplace requirements, and the working rule is simple: whatever lives in MailPanda lives in Klaviyo.

The connection is a single OAuth sign-in — no password sharing, no API keys to paste, and it works on any Klaviyo plan, including the free one. Below is the full picture: what gets read, what gets written, what stays yours forever, and how to cut the connection off in one click.

One OAuth sign-in, and what it grants

Choose Connect Klaviyo when MailPanda prompts you (or later, from Settings → Integrations), sign in to Klaviyo, and approve the permissions on Klaviyo's own screen. That's the entire setup. Because it's OAuth, MailPanda never sees your Klaviyo password — it holds a revocable token, and Klaviyo's marketplace rules require that revoking it actually cuts access, which is exactly how MailPanda implements it.

With the connection live, MailPanda reads your lists and your metrics. That's what lets it plan properly: it can see which segments exist, how past sends performed, and where the gaps in your program are, instead of guessing from a blank slate.

Everything arrives as a draft — you flip the switch

Here's the part that matters most if you're protective of your Klaviyo account (you should be): MailPanda writes finished emails into your account as drafts. It does not set anything live. After you approve an email in MailPanda's queue — or ask for changes in plain English, like "make the photo bigger" or "less salesy" — the finished version is published into Klaviyo as a draft, and you make it live inside Klaviyo whenever you're ready.

The sync runs both ways, so every flow, campaign, segment, and template stays in step between the two. There is nothing to migrate off Klaviyo, no list export, no history left behind. Your account stays the system of record; MailPanda is the marketer filing work into it.

What stays yours, permanently

Your lists, your subscriber history, your account — none of it moves. And the work MailPanda produces becomes yours too: if you ever cancel, flows already published into Klaviyo keep running right there in Klaviyo. They're normal Klaviyo flows in your normal Klaviyo account. There's no export step and no hostage situation — which is the honest test of any tool that touches your email platform.

Disconnecting is one click

Go to Settings → Integrations and hit Disconnect. The OAuth token is revoked and MailPanda's access ends immediately — not at the end of a billing cycle, not after a support ticket. Everything already sitting in your Klaviyo account stays exactly where it is, because it was always yours.

Wondering whether you even need Klaviyo to use MailPanda? You don't — with just a Shopify connection, MailPanda handles sending itself. The Klaviyo path exists for stores that already have an account and want to keep it at the center.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work on Klaviyo's free plan?

Yes. The OAuth connection works with any Klaviyo plan, free included. MailPanda reads your lists and metrics the same way regardless of which Klaviyo tier you're on.

Will MailPanda ever send from my Klaviyo account without me?

No. It publishes drafts. You set them live inside Klaviyo. Even before that, every email had to clear your approval in MailPanda — so a send requires two deliberate steps from you, not zero.

Do I have to migrate anything off Klaviyo?

Nothing. Your lists, segments, templates, and history stay in Klaviyo, and the two-way sync keeps MailPanda's view in step with your account. Klaviyo remains the system of record.

What happens to my flows if I stop paying for MailPanda?

Flows already published into your Klaviyo account keep running in Klaviyo. They're yours — regular flows in your own account, not rented features that switch off when the subscription does.

Is MailPanda trying to replace Klaviyo?

No — it's a different tool for a different stage. Klaviyo is the platform; MailPanda is the marketer operating it. If you don't have Klaviyo at all, MailPanda can send for you, but if you do, it works inside the account you already trust.
